COMING REAL SOON, NOT FAR AWAY NOW - Please be patient folks!

With increased work commitments I am only getting time to tend to this site once or twice a week. I need a lot of time to get this page loaded as I want it to be just right. Plus I am painting some new work on canvas (of my recollection of this wonderful day) to accompany the page on this site!

THIS PART OF THE WEBSITE IS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING PARTS. IT WILL CONTAIN A RECENT 2002 CONVERSATION WITH SYD BARRETT FEATURING OUR ASTRAL PIPER AND CAMBRIDGE ASTRONAUT IN VERY GOOD SPIRITS. FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW, BACK IN 2001 A WORLDWIDE GROUP NAMED "ECHOES", (WITH SOME HELP FROM FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD), AS WELL AS SOME VERY NICE PEOPLE WITHIN THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE, A PARK BENCH WAS COMMISSIONED IN HONOUR OF OUR HERO, MR ROGER KEITH (SYD) BARRETT.  SPORTING A COMEMORATIVE BRASS PLAQUE, IT WAS PLACED IN A SECTION OF CAMBRIDGE PARKLANDS. Tim Willis wrote of my experience with Syd in his recently published book titled "Madcap". THE FULL STORY OF THE BENCH AND HOW IT'S LOCATION WAS REVEALED TO SYD IN PERSON (MAKING HIS DAY, AND MINE), IS TO BE LOADED ON THIS WEB-PAGE SOON.

Opinions were asked upon the posting of this interview, and to whether it may stir up fresh callers to Syd's doorstep. Well, we certainly hope NOT!!! It was an overwhelming positive response received (by Astral Piper members, and some other people too) about displaying the Bench for Syd Story here, so I am happy to report that I will post this story here! It will take a little time to construct this page as I will handle the telling of this story as delicately as possible. Many people suggested placing a password protect on this special page, which I think is a great idea, but I am still to make an exact decisision. If so, I will only give out the password to people interested in seeing the Bench Story and who are joined Astral Piper Members.
