ArianeB 7.2 Walkthroughs

The dinner is a pivotal point in the game as it will decide what will - or can - happen next.

Actually there are five dinners in the game (not counting the corn dog snack at the amusement park):

	a steak dinner at the dinner table,	Steak Dinner

	some messy meatball spaghetti,	Spaghetti Dinner
	a sophisticated bistro dinner,	Bistro Dinner
	a plain hamburger and coke,	Drive N Dine

These are all presented in one of the chapters to come.

To get to the dinner table you first have to introduce yourself: Introduction.
After the introduction you have the choice to visit different places in the house and even to go to the playground (Playground Fun 2).
We'll opt for the kitchen.

Kitchen.
Get wine to drink. Giving ArianeB a drink puts her in a good mood.
Finish drink.
Get steaks for dinner. (The steaks are in the fridge on the left.) The scene moves to the outside, at the barbecue.

Drink wine. A second drink will put ArianeB in an even better mood.

Note: this second glass of wine is rather important, if you play the game (or these walkthroughs) without the second glass ArianeB's reactions will be entirely different. How different is up to you to find out, but as a general rule ArianeB will be less inclined to act impulsively (Of course, there will be plenty of situations later on to have that extra drink as well and the golden rule is not to give too many drinks to ArianeB.)

Finish drink.
Wait for the steaks. (Click on the barbecue.)

The setting changes to indoors. The order of the next four clicks is not of importance, but you have to click them all and only once.

Eat steak dinner.
Compliment her.
Talk to her.
Drink wine.

Go somewhere else.

The steak dinner scenario stops here, because after dinner there is a wide choice of different things to do...

ArianeB has been fueled with three glasses of wine and is feeling a bit tipsy. It's about time to leave or neat gentleman behaviour behind and take advantage of the situation. But as usual we need to be on our guard.

Here is an example of how early decisions (in this case: the playground intermezzo) influences later events.

Pool Scenario 1

First: Introduction
Second: Playground Fun 1 (be sure to have chosen the first playground fun scenario)

Go to the backyard.
Go swimming. (Click on the pool.) ArianeB jumps in the pool with her clothes on.

On a scale of 1 to 10 you get a 5.

What a bummer. The game is over and you have just started it. But what if...?

7.2 Experience parameter: 8009. At the end of the game a Date Experience code is given. This is a hexadecimal number that tracks how far you have succeeded into the game and what goals you have reached. If you have opened the game in debug mode, through default2.htm, you can safely click the experience link. The following text appears:

If you choose the second playground scenario (or didn’t go to the park at all), this is what will happen next:

Go to the backyard.
Go swimming. ArianeB will still jump in the pool with her clothes on.
Yell!

But this time she will not kick you out of the house.

Change clothes. Stop being a gentleman and have a peek in the bedroom.
Follow her into the bedroom. ArianeB doesn't seem to mind at all.
Let her finish getting ready.
Go somewhere else.

Put some clothes on. (Click on the bedroom.)
You rank 5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Trying to get ArianeB back into her clothes was a wrong choice (you should have see this coming). The game is over but you managed to play a little bit longer. So jumping in a pool with your clothes on doesn't seem to be a very good strategy...

ArianeB is probably the best adult game in the world, and one of the reasons why is that several situations can be combined. Making the right choices will lead to a narrow, but rather satisfactory, path. Here is just one of the many possibilities that are open after ArianeB has jumped into the pool with her clothes on, combining the previous Skinny Dipping and Dirty Dancing scenarios.

Kitchen Debauchery

Go to the kitchen. The ArianeB suggestion pack kicks in, this is a feature that has been build in since version 5.8:

In an effort to open up the ending a bit, if you do go to the kitchen after eating dessert (or swimming, or showering), Ariane will suggest what to do next based on what you have or haven’t done so far. You can accept or decline her recommendations, until she gets tired of your constant rejections, or she runs out of ideas, whichever comes first. Taken from: Random Notes From The Metaverse.

I`m out of beer, lets go to the convenience store for a six pack?
Ask if she has got any other ideas.

What do you say we grab some whiskey out of the cabinet and get plastered? Now we're talking!
Accept the suggestion.

In the previous walkthrough (ArianeB jumps in the pool with her clothes on 3) ArianeB proposed a couple of times to go to the convenience store and buy some beer, but we deliberately ignored these demands. This time this will not be the case.

ArianeB can visit the convenience store at several moments, but will do this only once in the game. Logically her clothes will be different, depending on the previous situation, and there are shop scenes with ArianeB...

	casually dressed,		in evening dress,
	in bikini,		wearing only a towel,
	topless...		and even completely nude.

Most of the time the person behind the counter is Jessie, a friend of her, but in one particular situation the person behind the counter changes as well (but actually, in the second case, it is a different store, located in the gas station, although it looks exactly the same).

But that is all to find out for yourself. (Version 7.1 had the backgrounds in the convenience store changed so that they are the same as in the sequel.)

The night shop sells several things more than beer, notice the fresh stack of porn magazines for instance...

Buy porn magazines. Well that was a stupid choice as it infuriates ArianeB tremendously...

In version 7.1 the lady depicted in the porn magazine has changed to somebody you might meet in ArianeB II.

Last time (see: Convenience Store) you made a fool of yourself at the night shop, so we'll try not to mess up now. If you play the game using the default2.htm page you'll notice that the drink parameter goes up whenever ArianeB touches some alcoholic beverage. The aim of the game is to get ArianeB slightly drunk, so that she will be adventurous and daring, but not that drunk that she turns into a mindless zombie.

The convenience store sells several things more than beer. At the top shelf you see a stack of porn magazines - but it is not wise to buy anyone of these - and a range of condoms. Unfortunately the game doesn't let you choose which one to pick. Buying condoms triggers different witty reactions from ArianeB, but doesn't add any beneficial, uhm, flavour to the game.

Buy condoms.
Pay for the beer and head for the jeep.
Go back to her place.

The location switches to the kitchen.

Just as there are different dancing situations in the game, there are also quite a few beer-drinking moments, although they all happen in the kitchen. ArianeB will grab a can of beer:

	topless (with her hair loose),		topless (with a ponytail)...

And there are still a few possibilities left, all depending from the situation you have been in before. In version 7.1 the Carlsberg green can has been replaced by a Guinness black one. But let's continue with the game we are currently in...

Beer and ArianeB go together as in that corny Meatloaf song Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad. Drinking a second can of beer can (and will) trigger different scenarios, but drinking a third can will mostly end the game. It could be that having less wine in the beginning could bypass this but I haven't checked that out. Anyway, here is a rewarding beer drinking scenario after the hot tub and dirty dancing scene:

Pay for the beer and head for the jeep.

Suggest cruising downtown. This is not necessary, but it shows an extra picture or two.
Take the next exit.
Turn around and go home.

ArianeB is sporty spice. In an earlier walkthrough (Playground Fun) she showed some gymnastic skills at the children's playground, but - if the right conditions have been met - she will invite you for a basketball game. The game has a build-in parktrip parameter that allows to visit the park annex playground annex basketball terrain, but only once. So for this scenario you may certainly not go to the playground after the introduction.

First: Introduction

After dinner, don't go to the patio but to the park (click on the front door).

Go to the park.
Follow her to the park.
Try a shot. To make the first shot you need to throw the ball inside the white rectangle (this rectangle is not visible in the game). Hey good shot!

Her turn to shoot.
Let her shoot.
Take your shot. To make the second shot you need to hit the circle.

Her turn to shoot.
Defend the basket. The ArianeB code randomly makes her miss or hit the second and third shots. ArianeB will try to disturb you by showing some flesh.

Aim here. To make the 3 point jumper you need to hit the basketball backboard exactly where the (small) circle is located.
Wow that's a tough shot and you made it! Experience level raises to 14000.
Finish game.

Go back to her place.

The ArianeB 7 visual patch pack

An easy way to always win at basketball is to download the visual patch pack and to replace the original images with the patched ones. But as always, (deliberately) loosing the game, will show alternative images. As far as I have tested the code, the result of the basketball game does not influence next events.

Unzip the PATCH700.zip file.
Replace the pictures in the 'datingsimulator/images' folder with the patched ones.The new pictures highlight the hotpoints to win:

If you have downloaded (and installed) the ArianeB 700 patch pack to win the basketball game from the previous walkthrough you may have noticed that this image pack also contains some pictures of a starry night and the moon. Now we will explain how to play (and win) the stargazing contest. Most of the time ArianeB will reward you if you win (in a few isolated cases she doesn't). If you have played the previous you can just go on, otherwise...

After dinner, don't go to the patio but to the park (click on the front door).
Third: Basketball

Go back to her place.
Go to the kitchen for dessert. In the kitchen you can play a spin the bottle game but we will not do that for now.
Eat dessert then go somewhere else.

Go to the kitchen. Yes, go a second time to the kitchen. Visiting the kitchen triggers the ArianeB suggestion box.

If she asks to play a board game (or something else), politely deny until she suggests:
We could sit on the bench out back and look at tonights beautiful sky.
Accept the suggestion. The scene will zap to the garden.

The stargazing mini-game kicks in. ArianeB looks (randomly) at the moon or at the starry night and will ask one out of 4 possible questions.

[Moon] Can you point to the Crater Copernicus?

Point here. The picture has 2 hotpoints with the same label, be sure to choose the good one. It is a small round crater a bit up and left from the center, NOT the big grey area a bit up and right from the center with the same label.

[Moon] Apollo 11 landed on the Sea of Tranquility. Do you know where it is?

May be here. This spot on the right side of the moon, just above the center, is easy to find as there is just one hotpoint on the screen with that particular label.

[Stars] I see the constellation Triangulus. Bet you can't point it out.

Pick here. This is the hardest hotpoint to find as they all carry the same name. The one we are looking for is situated in the middle of the screen.

[Stars] I see the constellation Aries. If you can too, we can do something romantic.

Maybe here? Easy to find, it is a very big area situated left and up from centre.

If you have won the game ArianeB will give you a reward. You can choose between two difficult choices:
either she will take her shirt off or
she will agree to some hot tub debauchery.

What if I told you, you can have the best of both worlds? But that will be explained in the next walkthrough...

The game is parameter driven, meaning that - literally - thousands of possible paths can be followed, rather than having a linear and rigid storyline. I am not quite sure if they bring any added value to the game and its parameters, but since they are there we might as well visit them. In this post we show you how.

Dress shopping game

The dress shopping game basically is a memory game. Out of 12 clothing racks you have to choose a matching outfit. As you don't know if the next rack will contain a top or bottom piece it is necessary to remember where the previous blouses and skirts are located. Picking two skirts or two blouses will end the game as ArianeB will be partially nude, but the good thing is that as long as you pick a top and a bottom piece, even if these don't match and look quite silly on ArianeB, the game will let you continue.

The position of the clothes on the clothing racks is randomized with every game. The two bottom left clothing racks (rack #9 & rack #10) will always have a skirt and a blouse to begin with. This comes in handy if you need a 'missing' piece. Upgrade 7.2 changes the graphics somewhat, but the game remains the same.

In this game ArianeB will show you some stuff to improve her home and of course you need to pick the good ones. If you have looked around in ArianeB's house you will notice that her choices are quite logical. She will show you 3 things to buy (out of 5 possibilities). Good choices are:

	Kitchen Toaster. White.
	TV Stand. Wood.
	Bedroom Wall Picture. The Left One (purple)
	(ArianeB 7.0 and before) Living Room Wall Picture. The Right One (Woman on pillar with birds)
	(ArianeB 7.1 and later) Living Room Wall Picture. The Right One (Diane and Cupid by Pompeo Batoni)

Keep looking. This mini game will always end with the living room picture, so be sure to always take the one from the right at home. If your ArianeB 7.1 version dates from before August 2011 the picture will be the embarrassingly hideous 'woman on a pillar', but if you have a more recent game ArianeB will go for the neoclassical 1761 Diane and Cupid from Pompeo Batoni.

Buy it and take it home. ArianeB puts the painting on her wall and the game will continue.

Although there are plenty of pool activities in the ArianeB game, its maker decided a few versions ago to add a new challenge: the underwater race. Geeks will drool over the beauty and versatility of the Javascript code the simulation has been written in, but all I can do is wonder how on Earth a young woman can live in a house with a private pool and only have one bikini and one shirt?

Completists may want to know that the race exist in three different outfits, or better said: lack of garment:

To win the game you need to click the three letters in between 2000 and 3000 milliseconds (or 2 and 3 seconds). If you click too fast the game tells you are out of breath, if you click too slow it means that ArianeB has surpassed you.

The idiot’s guide for hacking into the underwater race mini game

File text19.htm contains the necessary code for deciding who wins or loses the underwater race. This file can be opened in any text editor, Notepad will do fine, and by changing a few numbers you can cheat and always win (or lose) the race. This can come in handy when you are a slow clicker (like I am). Winning or losing the underwater swimming race has got no real influence on the rest of the simulation; it just helps those with a frail ego.

It would be wise to backup the original text19.htm file first. Atagong.com and its webmaster are not responsible if you damage the game or destroy the computer by trying to alter the code. Proceed at your own risk.

Race3 – swimming pool wall picture

Open file text19.htm in Notepad or a text editor of your choice.

Look for the segment that starts with function race3().

Altering the number at the
(parent.racetime < 3000)
line will lead to a different intermediate picture. Changing this figure, however, will have no impact on the final result of the mini game; it only decides which intermediate image will be shown.

This segment contains the two following triggers;

is for fast clickers: 2000 means that you will lose the race if you click the 3 points in less than 2 seconds of time. Changing the 2000 to a ridiculous low number, 10 for instance, means that you will never click too fast;

(parent.racetime < 3000)
is for the slow clickers: 3000 means that you will lose the race if you click the 3 points in more than 3 seconds of time. Changing the 3000 to a ridiculous high number, 30000 for instance, means that it will be difficult to click too slow (unless you wait 30 seconds, of course).

Warning: changing the game parameters is not a sportive thing to do and not appreciated by ArianeB!

Lucky for us, Amelia McDonell-Parry has a slightly more favourable view on the matter in 5 Perfectly Good Reasons To Sleep With Him On The First Date. ArianeB is a modern woman herself and to quote its maker she acts following these rules:

A running theme in Dating Ariane simulator is that Ariane is a modern feminist who is not delicate or submissive.
She does only what she wants to do.
If it gives her pleasure, she will do it.
If it gives others pleasure, she may do it if she is assured a mutual exchange.

Taking Ariane to a strip club startles her but after some encouragement she agrees to have a go at those 500$. ArianeB-scholars found out that she will only strip to the limit if two game parameters have been activated before going to the cabaret. So let's have a look at the nuts and bolts that make the ArianeB motor drive. Attention: we're entering completist territory here.

Some game parameters, in total there are about 60 of those, can be consulted during gameplay by starting the simulation with the default2.htm page. It acts like a debugging page and is very helpful for the geek who wants to check all possible variations. The two variables that need to be triggered for this particular scenario are:

var daring = 0; //0 = not 1 = more 2 = brave
var topf = 0; // Top (chest foreplay count while making out - too much is awkward)

The daring parameter rises when ArianeB does something out of the ordinary, something unexpected, something wild. The topf parameter is triggered by touching or kissing ArianeB at the right places and at the right moments (but if you grab her boobs too early she will kick you out). Both of them need to have 2 points in order to trigger the final strip club scene, so let's skip the nerdy stuff and start with the game, shall we? Still one quick remark though: there is of course also an opportunity to go to the stripclub with Rebecca. That scenario is noted down in Strip Club Contest but in that walkthrough ArianeB does not strip to the limit (although she totally reveals herself).

Introduce yourself to ArianeB as explained in:

The dancing, kissing and necking will put Ariane in a good mood and, of more importance, add one point to the daring and topf variable, they are now at 1 point each.

Go to another room.
Go for a walk.
Follow her to the park.

Take the other swing.
Finish swinging.
Climb on top and hang upside.

Ask her to show you her gymnastic skills.
Tell her she is doing well. To demonstrate her gymnastic skills Ariane strips to her underwear.

The ArianeB 6 series not only contained bug releases, but it added some value as well. One of the most striking new features was that Rebecca's role as a general pain in the ass was enlarged with three extra scenarios.

In this walkthrough we will follow the steps we have described earlier on in From Bar to Pool but we will not dive into the pool and have that saucy Marco Polo game. No need to click on that link really, we're here to refresh your brain. Here is what you have to do in order to meet Rebecca and to take her to ArianeB's home.

First: Introduction Experience: 8000.
Second: Steak Dinner Experience: 8000.
Third: Lingerie Store Experience: 9000.

Buy the right type of lingerie and Rebecca will ask to have a drink at the nearby bar. ArianeB replies: I`m here with a date. I`ll let him decide what we should do.

Agree to drinks at the club with Ariane and Rebecca.
Ask Ariane to dance.
Go back to the bar.

Buy the next round of drinks.
Watch the two of them dance together.
Let them continue to dance.

Take Ariane and Rebecca back to Ariane's place. Experience: a820.

Rebecca immediately wants to try the pool: "I'm okay with swimming naked, IF you two are willing! What do you say?" Actually, to trigger the Rebecca scenarios, skinny dipping is out of the question and a stiff drink is required.

Go inside for drinks instead. (Click at the bottom left side of the image.)
Have a drink.
Rebecca heads for the bedroom, following her triggers the scenario we have already encountered at In Bed with Three, so don't do that now. ArianeB urgently needs to pee, so I wouldn't follow her either in the bathroom if I were you.

Wait in the hall. Ariane sneaks out of the bathroom and says:
Just because Rebecca is here does not mean we need to end our date.
As long as we keep quiet, Rebecca should just stay in my room and not bother us.
We can`t leave her alone, but I`m sure we can find plenty to do around the house for fun.

Starting from ArianeB 6.4 three extra Rebecca scenarios have been included, aka the Rebecca tapes. They can all be triggered from the previous scenario (Whiskey in the Jar) where you have met with ArianeB, barbecued a steak dinner, bought some lingerie and had a drink with her and Rebecca at the local bar.

Back at home don't jump in the pool, but take a nightcap instead. Probably you already know how to do this all, but for those who may have accidentally arrived here I will give the instructions once again.

In this third and last installment, and I hope I will not spoil your lust to carry on playing, this will not be different. Ariane will test your general knowledge of the star constellations or the positioning of the moon craters. There are so many different situations in the ArianeB Dating Simulator that sometimes one forgets that a certain scenario is in there. When I sieve through the misty archives of my brain, that looks more like a tickler cards box than an Oracle database, I do remember vaguely I made a mental post-it note about a possible challenge to have some nude basket. But you know what happens with these post-it notes, you glue them on a reference card, after a while the glue dries, the note falls off and you don't have the slightest idea anymore what it was all about...

But when the Creator of the ArianeB Dating Simulator mentioned this possibility on the Shark's Lagoon forum it all came back, I slapped my forehead and started typing this post.

The easiest way to proceed is to have the default introduction, with a dance and a steak dinner... then to persuade ArianeB to get in that blue bikini of her as fast as is humanly possible. Just for the fun of it we'll show two possible ways to get there... (there might be others).

Steak dinner in the house

First: Introduction
Second: Steak Dinner

After dinner ArianeB waits in the living room. Clicking on the front door will lead her to the park to have some regular basket (as described in: Basketball) but that is not what we're after now... First we need to get ArianeB in her bikini...

Go to the bedroom to put on a swimsuit.
Follow her into the bedroom.
Let her finish putting her hair up.
Go to the backyard.

ArianeB waits in the garden. Do you want to swim, or do something else?

Bikini steak dinner at the patio

An alternative is to have a bikini dinner with ArianeB, so she doesn't need to change afterwards.

After dinner it is best to...
Sit and look at the stars. Click on the bench, right of the hot tub.

This will trigger the stargaze quiz. If you have downloaded and installed the visual patch pack (see underneath) there is nothing to worry about as the answers will be visible on the screen, otherwise you can always consult Stargazing where the possible situations are described. To continue this scenario you need to give the right answer though.
