ArianeB 7.2 Walkthroughs

In the Steak Dinner walkthrough it was mentioned that there are five possible meals in the game. Let's take ArianeB out for lunch and see what happens. As always we will have to persuade her first that our intentions are good.

First: Introduction 

Go to another room.
Kitchen.
Get wine to drink.
Finish drink. This first glass of wine will trigger the bistro scenario.

Suggest going out to dinner.
Wait for her in the hallway. Do not enter the bedroom. ArianeB puts on a ravishing black dress.
Go out to dinner.
Take the next exit.

Be seated.
Order dinner.
Talk to her.

Compliment her.
Eat dinner.
Drink wine. Experience: 8010.

Pick up the check. I said: pick up the check. If you don't pick up the check ArianeB will be a trifle disappointed (although, for completists, not paying the bill triggers other twists to the game).

Head out. ArianeB takes you to the Lizard's nightclub. Experience: 8030.
Go to bar.
I'm driving so club soda please. ArianeB is pleased that you aren't drinking alcohol. Ignore her demand for a second martini.

Ask her to dance.
Keep dancing...

Dancing with ArianeB means trouble. That is why her dance hall adventures will be discussed in the following pages to come...

In a previous walkthrough we took ArianeB to a posh restaurant (actually, she choose the place) and paid the bill. She has thanked us and we are now dancing in a nightclub at the center of Arianeville. However, if you haven't played this before here are the steps you should follow:

At a certain point ArianeB utters the memorable words:
Oooh yeah!

You would like to

but suddenly a bloke grabs ArianeB by her dress. Now what would you do in such a situation? (I think I would chicken out, but this is virtual reality, remember!) Let's do the superhero thing and whack the attacker through outer space.

Punch the guy. That'll teach him!
Retreat before a fight breaks out. Apparently the guy you just hit must have been the owner's son because a bouncer kicks you out.
Get out of the club.

But since the mod and rockers pub wars we all know that nothing is better to win a girl's special attention than to do the white prince on a horse in a shiny armour thing, or was that a prince in a shiny armour on a white horse thing? Whatever the semantics, future looks bright and you pass an amusement park on your way home. "Hey! That's an amusement park over there! Shall we check it out?"

Making out with girls, rule number 2. Besides hitting an aggressor in the face the next best thing to get in your girl's panties is to take her to an amusement park. Works every time!

Go to amusement park.
Go on the roller coaster.
Finish ride.

Go on the log ride.
Enjoy the ride. Unfortunately, the log ride is one that ends with a splash.
Get wet.

Go back to her place. Instead of sharing a hot steaming shower together, ArianeB kicks you out. Perhaps letting her ruin that 250$ dress wasn't a good idea to start with. I f there is one thing you have learned by now it is to leave your armour at home, kill your white horse, and if someone wants to grab ArianeB in a nightclub to say: be my guest.

On a scale from 1 to 10 you get a 7.

Last episode made you look like Don Quixote riding home on Rocinante while you wanted to be riding Dulcinea instead. (I assure you, this blog will ram culture through your throat if you want it or not!). There is no other way than to start all over again as you can't press the back-button on your browser in the ArianeB game. It will (probably) take you to the previous frame but the actual parameters of the game will not be reset, with all kind of illogical consequences.

To go on a boat trip with ArianeB you will have to do the following:

This ends with you (and ArianeB) on the dance floor and a bloke grabbing her dress. But this time you will not kick the bloke in the face, but...

Protect Ariane. This time it is ArianeB who slaps the aggressor: Son of a bitch!
Get her away from this guy. Once again the bouncer tells you to leave the premises.
Get out of the club.

Head to outskirts.
Take a scenic drive out of town. So you took me to the local lake? Nice romantic spot, Experience: 21030.

Let's rent a boat for a late night cruise.
Get aboard the boat.
Park the boat here. You can have either have some beers and watch the moon or go waterskiing... naked...

Suggest water skiing naked.
Watch her take off her dress. I hope you don't mind.
Help her put on the ski vest.
Hand her the ski. Yeehaaa!
Tell here to come in.

Watch the moon set.
Suggest spending the night on the boat.
Sleep on the deck floor.
Get Up.

You can give her a goodbye kiss but that is all that will be happening.

Have you ever wondered what would have happened with your life if you had turned to the left side of the street instead of the right one? From the previous scenario (Das Boot) you may remember that you could, at the lake, turn right to rent a boat. What happens if you go left will be explained in this post. As the previous game has ended you will have to start all over again.

Head to outskirts.
Take a scenic drive out of town. So you took me to the local lake? Nice romantic spot.
Lets take a romantic walk on the beach.

There are several romantic paths in this scenario, including a philosophical discussion whether romance is a cultural attitude or an inherently instinctive response. Of course we didn’t come to this place to discuss Heidegger (but once again, these make up for some fine images and responses).

Hold her hand.
Put your arm around her.
Take her into your arms. Are you a romantic in pursuit of passion?
I’d rather pursue you. (Compliment her)

This seems to be the right answer as ArianeB returns the favour by taking off her dress. There are several possibilities from here on and you are of course invited to try them all, but this is slightly more rewarding than the others...

Hold her naked body. Don't kiss her, but let the moon do its romantic work.
Sit on the beach. Some women can't have enough from syrupy comments...

Walk her back to the car. Maybe I should put my dress back on for the trip home?

Back at home ArianeB is still walking around in her birthday suit. You can go to the kitchen or have a swim or some hot tubbing. The choice is all yours!

But of course the next walkthrough will reveal another possibility as well...

A major difference between ArianeB and a lot of other html dating games is that the results are parameter driven. The future is not only altered by pressing the right image location, but will take a different course depending on what has happened before. One can say that - without doubt - ArianeB started a trend that has been followed by several adult gaming sites since. Lots of those copycats are far from 'original', as they all seem to include a photo session or a Truth or Dare sequence as well...

If you have ever browsed through the 1279 images from the game you may have noticed that there are kitchen beer drinking scenes with ArianeB:
casually dressed,
in bikini,
covered in a towel,
topless (with her hair loose),
topless (with a ponytail)... and - like I said - these all depend from the situation you have been in before. Some examples can be seen in post: Have a Beer.

ArianeB completists will try to achieve all possible situations and here is a way to drink some beer (it used to be Carlsberg but version 7.1 changed that as well) in an evening dress, that luckily, will not stay on her body for long.

Pull up to the front.
Go shopping.
Pay for the beer and head for the jeep.

Go back to her place. The action will take place in the kitchen.
Grab a beer.
Finish off the can.

Crush your can too.
Kiss her lips.
Stop kissing.

Grab a beer.
Finish off the can. ArianeB suddenly realises this is a game where one takes his (or rather her) clothes off.
Let her take if off.

Drinking a third beer may be rather dangerous to do, although it results into some beautiful images. If you still want to go on for a while you may choose to...

In one of the previous versions of ArianeB (5.8 if you wanna know) its maker introduced a new conversation module. Entering the kitchen (after lunch & dessert) will trigger some proposals from ArianeB with a maximum of 3. You are free to accept or refuse, but after a third refusal ArianeB will be so frustrated that she kicks you out.

ArianeB's first proposal:
You have seen my pool. Let`s go swimming.
This will result in some skinny dipping.
You can accept her proposal or ask if she has any other suggestions.

ArianeB's second proposal:
What do you say we grab some whiskey out of the cabinet and get plastered?
If you accept, getting plastered on whisley is what ArianeB will do.
You can accept her proposal or ask if she has any other suggestions.

Contradictory to what I just wrote there will be no third proposal from ArianeB this time. Getting kicked out by a nude woman isn't what I would call a big success.

I can't think of anything else to do tonight, why don`t we say goodnight.

(You may buy some condoms, although there is no need for those in the game. Probably this is one of the features that will be added for ArianeB, the sequel.)

The second beer makes ArianeB lose the dress. An alternative scenario is not to drink the second beer in the kitchen and go to the living room after the first beer. The scenario will continue, but with the evening dress on, until ArianeB finds it is about time to get rid of it.

Go somewhere else.
Go to the living room. A little secret . . . Wine relaxes me but too much will make me drowsy. Experience: b036.

Drink some wine. The strange thing is that having three beers in a row would make ArianeB drunk as a skunk, but two beers and a glass of wine not.
Stop drinking.
Kiss her.

Stop kissing. You can't say that ArianeB isn't expecting for something to happen.

ArianeB kindly replies: "I`m here with a date. I`ll let him decide what we should do."
Agree to drinks at the club with Ariane and Rebecca.
Ask Ariane to dance. It is not a good idea to ask Rebecca to dance, ArianeB can be slightly jealous. There is also an opportunity to leave Rebecca behind and go elsewhere, but that wouldn't be nice either (although it doesn't hurt your date with ArianeB).
Go back to the bar.

Buy the next round of drinks.
Watch the two of them dance together.
Let them continue to dance.

Ariande decides to invite Rebecca home. Now how you are going to react to that?

Take Ariane and Rebecca back to Ariane's place. Rebecca immediately wants to try the pool: "I'm okay with swimming naked, IF you two are willing! What do you say?" Note: you can also opt out for the swimming and have a drink with Rebecca and ArianeB instead but these scenarios will be discussed at a later stage.

This difficult choice is all yours (both options have very nice pictures).

Vote for skinny dipping.
Take your clothes off.
Get in the pool.

Rebecca wants to play a game of Marco Polo, whatever that may be...

Say POLO.
Say: It's your turn, Ariane.

Move to the right. You can also move to the left and grab Rebecca, but this will (obviously) not be appreciated by ArianeB.

The place belongs back to the both of you. You can skinny dip, dance in the living room, take a shower, go to the convenience store for some beers or have a night cap in the kitchen...
Hint: don't drink the wine still standing on the patio's table, it will not become her.
Hint 2: you can try truth or dare in the hot tub and if you play it right a new option will be proposed: nude basketball!

The previous walkthrough (From Bar to Pool) learned us that it is possible to meet Rebecca in the lingerie shop. She will propose to have a drink with ArianeB at the nearby nightclub. But from other walkthroughs (Bistro Dinner) we know that we can have a drink and a dance in the bar without Rebecca as well.

The game is parameter driven, meaning that - literally - thousands of possible paths can be followed, rather than having a linear and rigid storyline. Will it be possible to go to the bar first and visit the lingerie store after being kicked out of the club? And what are the consequences of that? Answer on the first question: yes. Answer on the second question: just read the following lines.

Get out of the club. We got booted out of the night club, but we can do something else here. Experience: 21020.

The lingerie shopping game kicks in and to see the winning combinations, please consult: Lingerie Store. You need to buy the right type of lingerie in order to meet Rebecca.

Normally Rebecca would now ask you to have a drink at the nightclub but since you have just been kicked out there, she looks for another place to go and have some fun.

Discuss other options with Rebecca. Experience: 39820.
Be adventurous and take a chance.

Rebecca takes you to... a strip club, where it happens to be amateur night. You can play the responsible gentleman and leave the place with your date or you can decide to...

Stay and watch Rebecca's show. The strip club announcer has significantly changed in version 7.1 and it is rumoured that she will play a lead role in the ArianeB sequel.

This sequence does not reveal a lot of breathtaking images but it uses some sleek trigonometric functions in the Javascript to say the least. It is not often one can say Javascript uses sexy moves:

A few walkthroughs ago (see: Lingerie Store) we met Rebecca, an old schoolfriend of ArianeB, who works at the lingerie shop. With a little luck we could bring her home and have a skinny dip (see: From Bar to Pool), but what will happen if ArianeB and you already had some water fun in the pool? Well, you could end up with Rebecca in bed instead... Let's repeat the tedious steps again of introducing ourselves...

After dinner: Go somewhere else. ArianeB waits for your suggestions. Let's bring her in an extra good mood first. Experience: 80d0.
Drink the wine. (wine number 4.)
Finish drinking.

Come up for air.

Follow her out of the pool. Having taken a swim before meeting Rebecca will prevent the pool party afterwards.

Go back inside.
Take a shower.
Follow her.

Continue to watch.
Grab a towel.
Take a shower. Experience: 280d0.

Although the story will roughly follow the same path and have the same ending, clicking different hotpoints will have ArianeB leave the house in different clothes.

Evening dress scenario

Get dressed and go for a drive. Click on the car.
Follow her into the bedroom. Meow!

In old downloads of version 7.1 (before July 2011) the game halts because there is a typo in the script. If your version is more recent you can skip this.

Open the file text12.htm in Notepad (or any text editor) before playing the game and look for line 179 that reads:
parnet.shower = 1;
change this into
parent.shower = 1;
and don't forget to save.
The game will now continue. (This issued has been resolved with a so-called stealth update, recent downloads will not have this problem.)

Let her finish.
Go for a drive.

Casual wear scenario

Go to the bedroom to get dressed.
Follow her into the bedroom.
Let her get her pants on.
Go somewhere else.

Go for a drive. Now click on the car.
Go for a drive.

The story resumes here:

Take next exit.
Go downtown.
Go lingerie shopping.
Go into the lingerie store.

You will need to pick the right lingerie and if you don't know how to do that (sucker!) you can consult the guide at Lingerie Store. After the lingerie scene, agree to have a drink with Rebecca in the nearby bar.

Agree to drinks at the club with Ariane and Rebecca.
Ask Ariane to dance.
Go back to the bar.

Watch the two of them dance together.
Let them continue to dance. (If you have chosen the casual wear scenario, see above, then Rebecca has got a small surprise in store.)

Drive Ariane and Rebecca back home.
Stay for a drink.
Have a drink. ArianeB urgently needs to go for a pee and it is not advised to follow her in the bathroom.

Do not wait for Ariane but follow Rebecca instead.

Follow Rebecca. Do you think it would be too presumptuous if I took off all my clothes, and climbed in bed naked and waited for Ariane to come to bed? <cough>
No, it wouldn't be to presumptuous.
Strip naked and join Rebecca in bed.

Wait for Ariane. What fresh hell is this?
Stay in bed.
Watch her undress.

Scoot over and make room.
Go to sleep.

Unfortunately we will never know what has happened between Rebecca and the player during the night although fans have begged for more information (read: images) for the past five years. But according to the 'experience' page that has been added in version 7.1 nothing really happened:

ArianeB likes a riddle and a challenge and in this scenario we will have a go at the nightclub trivia game. Personally I find this one of the weaker parts of the simulation as it does nothing more, in my opinion anyway, than hold up the action. Another reason could also be that creating the post you are reading now has taken me more time and efforts to create than all the others. God, I hate html tables!

We start with the compliments and the steak dinner.

Lucky for us ArianeB gets tired after 3 questions, but the downside is that the club can't be visited anymore, even if Rebecca (at the lingerie store) would want us to. The following possibilities are open:

Head back to Ariane's.

The ArianeB 7 visual patch pack

An easy way to win the night sky game is to download the visual patch pack and to replace the original images with the patched ones. But as always, (deliberately) losing the game, will show alternative images. The outcome of the night sky game however does influence next events.

Unzip the PATCH700.zip file.
Replace the pictures in the 'datingsimulator/images' folder with the patched ones.The new pictures highlight the hotpoints to win:
the basketball game
the stargazing game
the handstand on the beach

The 'originals' folder contains the original unpatched images if you would like to restore the original images.

The ArianeB 6 series not only contained bug releases, but it added some value as well. One of the most striking new features was that Rebecca's role as a general pain in the ass was enlarged with three extra scenarios.

In this walkthrough we will follow the steps we have described earlier on in From Bar to Pool but we will not dive into the pool and have that saucy Marco Polo game. No need to click on that link really, we're here to refresh your brain. Here is what you have to do in order to meet Rebecca and to take her to ArianeB's home.

First: Introduction Experience: 8000.
Second: Steak Dinner Experience: 8000.
Third: Lingerie Store Experience: 9000.

Buy the right type of lingerie and Rebecca will ask to have a drink at the nearby bar. ArianeB replies: I`m here with a date. I`ll let him decide what we should do.

Agree to drinks at the club with Ariane and Rebecca.
Ask Ariane to dance.
Go back to the bar.

Buy the next round of drinks.
Watch the two of them dance together.
Let them continue to dance.

Take Ariane and Rebecca back to Ariane's place. Experience: a820.

Rebecca immediately wants to try the pool: "I'm okay with swimming naked, IF you two are willing! What do you say?" Actually, to trigger the Rebecca scenarios, skinny dipping is out of the question and a stiff drink is required.

Go inside for drinks instead. (Click at the bottom left side of the image.)
Have a drink.
Rebecca heads for the bedroom, following her triggers the scenario we have already encountered at In Bed with Three, so don't do that now. ArianeB urgently needs to pee, so I wouldn't follow her either in the bathroom if I were you.

Wait in the hall. Ariane sneaks out of the bathroom and says:
Just because Rebecca is here does not mean we need to end our date.
As long as we keep quiet, Rebecca should just stay in my room and not bother us.
We can`t leave her alone, but I`m sure we can find plenty to do around the house for fun.
Meet her in the living room.

As this is the starting point for three possible scenarios - the Rebecca tapes - that all end in a funny but rather miserable way:

In a previous walkthrough (Bistro Dinner) we took ArianeB to a posh restaurant (actually, she choose the place) and paid the bill. She has thanked us and we are now dancing in a nightclub at the center of Arianeville.

Here is the only scenario that has changed in version 7.1, compared to 7.0, and if you want to know how it looked like in the past, please consult: Roller Coaster Wet Ride. You won't be able to play it though if you don't have that old version.

However, if you haven't played this before here are the steps you should follow:

First: Introduction
Second: Bistro Dinner 

At a certain point ArianeB utters the memorable words:
Oooh yeah!
Shake it baby,
S-S-shake it!

You would like to
Keep on dancing
but suddenly a bloke grabs ArianeB by her dress. Now what would you do in such a situation? (I think I would chicken out, but this is virtual reality, remember!) Let's do the superhero thing and whack the attacker through outer space.

Punch the guy. That'll teach him!
Retreat before a fight breaks out. Apparently the guy you just hit must have been the owner's son because a bouncer kicks you out.
Get out of the club.

But since the mod and rockers pub wars we all know that nothing is better to win a girl's special attention than to do the white prince on a horse in a shiny armour thing, or was that a prince in a shiny armour on a white horse thing? Whatever the semantics, future looks bright and you pass an amusement park on your way home. "Hey! That's an amusement park over there! Shall we check it out?"

Making out with girls, rule number 2. Besides hitting an aggressor in the face the next best thing to get in your girl's panties is to take her to an amusement park. Works every time!

Go to amusement park.
Go on the roller coaster.
Finish ride.

In version 7.0 (and all the versions before, descending till 4.6 as far as I can remember) ArianeB wants to have a log ride but this scenario has disappeared in 7.1. From now on she takes the Ferris wheel instead.

Finish Ferris wheel. ArianeB is still a bit hungry: What`s a carnival without a gross carnival corn dog. Here is one of the images that has been updated in version 7.2. (Experience: a1030.)
Go on swing ride.
Finish swing ride. I should not have eaten that corn dog before going on rides that make you dizzy.

Go back to her place. Instead of sharing a hot steaming shower together, ArianeB kicks you out. If there is one thing you have learned by now it is to leave your armour at home, kill your white horse, and if someone wants to grab ArianeB in a nightclub to say: be my guest.

On a scale from 1 to 10 you get a 6.
Game over.

But better endings are on its way, promised...

7.2 Experience parameter: a1030.
